At precisely the thickness we favoured, these thin cake boards are neither too flimsy that it bends or too thick for a dowel to pierce through.  Silver colour foil covers the sturdy cake board that vaguely reflects the colourful creation you put on top of it.  They are useful in stacking tiered cakes as well.
